The Universal Realms Project is the idea of having possibly scores if not hundreds of RP forums designed to each represent an entire living world filled with players, all connected by existing in one universe, all different but part of one overarching lore.
One way to describe the project would be the textual equivalent to an MMORPG, where each forum is like a "server" representing the world where players interact, fight, craft, socialize, and more, the different threads and topics acting as the quests and regions and stores and homes. Each server has its own rules, some allowing characters to exist in multiple servers at once, some restricting the races and "classes" your character can be, and each with its own economy and social structure and hierarchy.
Hopefully, we will be able to build the largest and strongest RP community on the Internet, built on freedom and diversity, without entering the dangerous area of anarchy (except on worlds where there are no governments, of course!).
